Background: Visual impairment and blindness are national and global health concern that has a negative impact on physical and mental health, hence there is a need for ophthalmologists to be aware of the well-established link between poor eye health and mental health. Aim: To assess pattern of ocular disorders and eye care utilisation among attendees of mental health clinic in LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso with the aim of making recommendations for improved eye health of mental health patients Methodology: This was a hospital-based observational study of the attendees of mental health clinic of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso; who were male and female adults between age 18 and 65 years. A sample size of 157 were selected using systematic sampling technique and a pre-tested semi-structure interviewer administered questionnaire was used. Statistical Product and service solutions (SPSS) Version 23.0 was used for analysis and the significance level was set at the p value of < 0.05.
