AIM AND OBJECTIVES: This cross sectional study was carried out between August and December 2009 with the aim of determining the ocular problems of leprosy patients in Ossiomo Leprosy Centre, Ossiomo, Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Edo State of Nigeria. Both patients with active disease and those released from treatment were interviewed. Pretested questionnaire was administered. The patients were examined for ocular complications from leprosy. MATERIALS AND METHODS: They were examined using the Snellen’s chart, pentorch, Kowa portable slit lamp, direct ophthalmoscope, Perkins hand-held tonometer and questionnaire.
