Long Description:This manual in the dental specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) enables Certified Dental Assistants (CDAs) regulated by the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP) to learn and master the duties required for Oral Surgery. This handbook outlines the advanced knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for a CDA to enter the specialty, or to provide a professional development opportunity for CDAs currently working in an Oral Surgery clinic. The author is a CDA and an educator with many years of experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
