Background Anemia is the most common medical disorder in pregnancy with its attendant morbidity and mortality, especially in the developing fetus and neonates. The effect of subnormal maternal hemoglobin level on the developing fetus and neonate can be immediate or remote. Some of the immediate manifestation of the anemia in pregnancy, especially the late third trimester include amongst others, IUGR the intrantenne growth restriction evidenced by reduction of the certain neonatal anthropometric measurements such as birth weight, head circumference, chest circumference and crown ramp length. Other Objective — To investigate the effects of the late third trimester hemoglobin levels on the certain anthropometric measurements (such as birth weight, head circumference, chest circumference and length). Methodology A cross sectional study involving purposively selecting all pregnant women in late third trimester who present for antenatal care and who present in labour in Ola Catholic Hospitals, and who gave consent to participate in the study were recorded on a Data collection from Ibadan. Respondents were interviewed using semi-structured validated interviewer administered questionnaires to collect information on sociodemographic characteristics, Antenatal History, labour and delivery History, and Anthropometric Parameters of neonate were recorle on a DCF. A pregnant woman with haemoglobin concentration some 11g/dl was said to be anaemic and haemoglobin concentration less than 11g/dl was normal, 10.9 – 9.0g/dl was mild Anaemia, 8.9 – 7.0g/dl was moderate Anaemia and <7g/dl was severe Anaemia. Data were analyzed using statistics, ANOVA, t-test, Chi square and Linear regression (R) were used to test significant differences between means of variables of interest at 0.05 level of significance where appropriate
