Introduction: Maternal Obesity is a public health issue of great importance due to rising prevalence of obesity in developing countries and the adverse impact on feto-maternal outcomes Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the adverse obstetric outcomes between obese and non obese women Methods: This prospective case control study was carried out between January to August 2017. Women were recruited at antenatal booking clinic after checking their weight, height and BMI. Participants with BMI ≥30kg/m2 were grouped as cases while those with BMI between 18.5- 29.9kg/m2 , appropriately matched for age and parity were grouped as Controls. OGTT was carried out at 24-28weeks. They were followed up till delivery. Chi square, student t-test, ANOVA, multivariate logistic and linear regression analyses were appropriately carried out at 95% confidence interval, with P-values set as <0.05 as statistically significant.
