AIM To determine the clinical characteristics of Age-related Macular Degeneration at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, Nigeria. OBJECTIVES 1. To determine the proportion of patients aged 50years and above with Age-related Macular Degeneration in UBTH. 2. To determine the pattern and clinical features of Age-related Macular Degeneration in UBTH. 3. To identify the modifiable risk factors for Age-related Macular Degeneration in UBTH. 4. To make recommendations on early detection and possible measures to reduce the risk of developing Age-related Macular Degeneration in Nigerians.
